Saqqara
Through golden sands and the warming hot sun, we walked through the rich archaeological site of Saqqara to visit the Pyramid of Unas. We had been given special permission to visit the tomb. One by one we inched our way down into the tomb and entered a chamber rich in hieroglyphic texts. We marveled at the beauty of the inscriptions and the large stone container that once held the King. 
We gathered for our ritual, a group of pilgrims who had travelled from the far corners of the earth to immerse into the mysteries in this ancient land. We spoke our purpose and called upon the four directions. Ann felt a voice coming through and our flowed the sweet words from a spirit of Ancient Egypt welcoming us and expressing happiness that we had come to honor the Gods and Goddesses, an exchange that had not been done in thousand of years. Tears stremed down our faces with the embrace of this unexpected encounter from the ancient past. Anne then sang a song, a gift to us, and the spirits. We all felt gratitude and joy for this shared moment spanning time and space.
Our journey had just begun and we have started in the heart, and with the heart we continued……. Gwen Faasen
Sphinx
The Calling 
What has called us here to the magic of Egypt. We embrace the mystery of the Sphinx in the quiet cool of predawn. We one and all unite in Sacred Ceremony expressing the longing that drew our souls to drink here.
Each one of us was anointed with blessed oil….
Dream Wisely…. Love Generously…. Work Honourably….
The glory of the Egyptian sunrise reveals the beauty and grandeur of the Sphinx. May our hearts contain the vastness and space as we stand here in circle with the might paws of so great this protector Sphinx. Our Journey Begins. Annie
Karnak Temple & Sekhmet
Karnak temple was an amazing place that shared many different parts of itself to all of us in many different ways and forms. I can only share my point of view and experiences with you. I was on the boat meditating sitting on the floor, the french doors open with the wind flowing into our room off the Nile. Meditating on what lies/illusions that I could offer to the goddess Sekhmet. All falsehood is her lawful prey. Then just as I was about to stop these words came through very Firmly and Loudly. “Everyone living or in the Afterlife are all sharing the same space at the same time.” I was a bit shocked to be honest as I had never heard or contemplated this before . So I knew this definitely had not come from me. I felt blessed that this was shared with me however. I kept this to myself and got the feeling I must share it with everyone at Sekhmet, when we did the ritual.
We then went to Karnak Temple but my memory and focus was that of Sekhmet. No-one is normally allowed into the shire. And, wow, it was like a tidal wave of power hit me all at once. I was standing looking at a life-size statue of Sekhmet made of Black Granite. I was in awe of her power and could feel her heat rising up in me through my feet. Her statue looked like she was smiling. I was actually “told” (in my head) OK, you can go now. “I had received my Blessing and gave blessings rapidly”. The ritual we performed was just perfect and Mary did Sekhmet proud being her priestess. I enjoyed dancing around the circle, I think my soul had been yearning this for some time. I was still arguing with myself whether it was the right thing to do to share my “message”. When I blurted it out at the end of the ritual, Everyone said Thank You and that it perfectly finished the ritual. I also had people say it was “like a key” that unlocked things for them. Everyone was appreciative and I was thankful that I shared my “message”. I believe in my head this message is definitely true. I am truly cherishing my time and experiences in Egypt. It is a true awakening for me and I feel blessed to be here. Blessed Be Lara
